Stilt Fisherman, Dalawella, South Province, Sri Lanka
"Impressive Fishermen who sit uncomfortably for hours on small poles stuck into the water a few meters offshore and fish for small reef fish called 'Bollu'. It took me days to locate this actively used site. A sad fact that the few men who still fish make more income from tourists for photos than they do from fishing. The biggest threat faced by these enduring men are the large scale trawling boats that capture the little fish in the hundreds and thousands in one go with their nets."
