Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat 10,582 km2 (4,0852 miles), a natural wonder half the size of Belgium! Elevated 3,656 meters (11,995 ft) above the mean sea level. It contains 50 to 70% of the world's lithium reserves and is estimated to contain 10 billion tonnes of salt, of which approximately 25,000 tonnes is extracted annually.
